Oliver is only in her mid-20s, and Oliver’s acting career is just getting started. Still, she already has a bright future ahead. As she takes on more exciting roles, the Irish actress’s star power will undoubtedly continue to grow.

Today we analyze her budding career in the industry and the net worth she has accumulated so far.

Alison Oliver’s net worth and debut in the entertainment industry

Having only recently begun her professional acting career, Oliver’s current net worth is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1 million. While still early in her career, this net worth valuation indicates her rising star power and earning potential in the entertainment industry.

She first landed on the scene in 2022 with her debut lead role as Frances Flynn in the Hulu miniseries Conversations with Friends. This breakout performance marked her first-ever onscreen acting credit.

The miniseries is based on Sally Rooney’s novel of the same name. It follows the complex interpersonal relationships between Frances, her best friend Bobbi, and an older married couple they become involved with.

Playing the lead role in such a high-profile adaptation was a major accomplishment for the fresh drama school graduate. Prior to her star-making turn in Conversations with Friends, Oliver honed her acting skills at The Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art in Dublin.

On the heels of Conversations with Friends, Oliver has continued booking impressive roles across mediums. She made her theatrical debut in 2023 with the play Women, Beware the Devil at the Almeida Theatre in London.

She is also currently starring in the National Theatre’s production of Dancing at Lughnasa. She has also recently made her feature film debut in director Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn

She also appeared in the 2023 BBC drama miniseries Best Interests. By working with such acclaimed female showrunners, playwrights, and filmmakers early in her career, Oliver is establishing herself as an in-demand talent to watch.

Alison Oliver’s role in ‘Saltburn’

In the 2023 psychological thriller Saltburn, Oliver plays the role of Venetia Catton, the vulnerable sister of the lead character Felix Catton.

Venetia becomes an early target for the film’s antagonist, Oliver Quick, played by Barry Keoghan, as he ingratiates himself into the wealthy Catton family. Described by her mother as “a masochist with an eating disorder,” Venetia is emotionally fragile and struggling with self-image issues.

Oliver deftly portrays these insecurities and Venetia’s rocky mental state. After Oliver is discovered to have lied about his tragic backstory to gain the Cattons’ sympathy, Venetia’s brother Felix casts him out.

Following Felix’s subsequent suspicious death, Venetia spirals further into despair and self-destruction.

She accuses Oliver of having sinister motives and wearing her dead brother’s clothes, recognizing his obsessive and sinister nature. Soon after, Venetia is found dead by apparent suicide, having slit her wrists with razor blades Oliver had left for her.

As the closing scenes reveal, Oliver directly contributed to her vulnerable mental state and supplied the means of her death, coldly noting, “She said it herself. She couldn’t live without him.”

Through her portrayal of the troubled Venetia, Oliver takes on a difficult supporting role that is key to the plot’s tragic outcome. Her performance helps set up Oliver as a cunning manipulator willing to exploit vulnerabilities to ingratiate himself into the Catton’s lives.

While her screen time is limited compared to the leads, Oliver makes her scenes count. He communicates volumes about her character through intense dialogue and interactions.

Alison Oliver joined the cast of HBO’s untitled crime drama recently

Oliver has been tapped to join the A-list cast of HBO’s upcoming crime drama series from Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby.

Oliver will play the role of Lizzie, an underperforming state police officer who gets added to the task force led by Mark Ruffalo’s FBI agent character, Tom.

The series is set in working-class Philadelphia suburbs and centers on Tom’s task force, which aims to stop a string of robberies targeting drug houses. An unexpected family man is orchestrating the heists.

Oliver joins an ensemble cast that also includes Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raúl Castillo, Jamie McShane, and Sam Keeley. Her character, Lizzie, starts out lacking confidence in her professional capabilities, hence her poor performance evaluations.

As part of Tom’s crack task force team, she will likely be challenged to step up her game and prove her worth. Her dynamic with Ruffalo’s seasoned FBI agent should also make for engaging viewing.

This high-profile HBO crime series marks a major opportunity for Oliver to raise her profile after her breakout role in the 2023 film Saltburn. She has shown she can bring complexity and emotional depth to challenging characters.

Fans eagerly anticipating this star-studded HBO drama can expect another captivating performance from the rising star.

Alison Oliver is dating a fellow Irish actor

Oliver is currently in a relationship with actor Éanna Hardwicke, who, like Oliver, is an alum of Ireland’s prestigious The Lir Academy drama school.

The two young Irish talents likely met while studying acting and honing their craft at the highly selective conservatory program, which prepares students for screen and stage careers.

26-year-old Hardwicke hails from Cork and made his onscreen debut over a decade ago in the 2009 supernatural film The Eclipse. After graduating from The Lir Academy in 2018, he started landing increasingly prominent roles.

He portrayed schoolmate Rob Hegarty in the hit series Normal People, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal. Hardwicke also appeared in the Irish crime drama Smother and the 2022 sports film Lakelands.

Most recently, he has earned acclaim for his performance as murderer Ben Field in the intense BBC drama The Sixth Commandment. Hardwicke’s haunting portrayal showcases his impressive acting range and ability to inhabit complex characters.

Much like his girlfriend Oliver, the young actor’s star potential is decidedly on the rise. Oliver and Hardwicke’s shared Irish roots, drama school education, and acting passions have clearly fostered an intimate personal connection.

As two gifted young performers whose careers are accelerating, they can support and encourage each other as they navigate the entertainment industry.

Fans of breakthrough talents Oliver and Hardwick can look forward to hopefully seeing the couple collaborate onscreen one day as well.
