Since her debut, she has released several other successful projects, including Drippin in Glo (2016), Project Princess Vol. 1 (2016), OuttaSpace (2017), Kill Bill, Vol. 1 (2017), Doll SZN, So Icy Princess (2018), and her eighth mixtape, UNFUCCWITABLE (2019).

Asian Doll had her name changed

In April 2019, Doll officially announced that she had changed her stage name to Asian Da Brat. This name change was made to distance herself from other female rappers using the “Doll” moniker and establish a more distinct identity.

The new name “Asian Da Brat” pays homage to the legendary female rapper Da Brat, who hails from Chicago. Da Brat made history in 1994 with her debut studio album Funkdafied, which became the first platinum-certified album by a female rapper.

Asian Da Brat’s decision to incorporate “Da Brat” into her new moniker was a nod to this groundbreaking achievement in hip-hop.

To commemorate the name change, she announced the release of her upcoming mixtape UNFUCCWITABLE, which featured guest appearances from several prominent artists, including Lil Durk, Calboy, Smooky Margielaa, Stunna4Vegas, Yung Mal, PNB Meen, and Smokepurpp.

Asian Doll has had various run-ins with the law

Doll, whose real name is Misharron Allen, has had multiple run-ins with the law throughout her life and career. Her legal troubles began at a young age when she had her first encounter with the law at just 12 years old, although the details of this incident remain unclear.

Challenges also marked her high school years, as she attended Skyline High School but dropped out in the 12th grade, which may have contributed to some of her legal problems during her teenage years.

In June 2018, she found herself in legal trouble again when she was arrested in New York City after getting into a physical altercation. Although the details of the fight are not known, she was fortunately released a few hours after her arrest.

Two years later, in September 2020, her legal issues escalated when she was arrested in Georgia on drug charges. This time, the consequences were more severe, as she was released on bond four days after her arrest, indicating that the charges were more powerful.

Unfortunately, her legal troubles did not end there. In October 2022, she was arrested once again in Douglas County, Georgia, this time for multiple offences.

The primary reason for her arrest was her failure to appear in court for the charges stemming from her September 2020 arrest in Georgia. Additionally, she was charged with driving 20 miles per hour over the posted speed limit and not having a valid Texas driver’s license.

According to the arrest report, the police officer who pulled Allen over for speeding asked for her license. However, she provided her passport instead.

Upon learning from dispatch that she did not have a valid Texas license and that she had outstanding warrants in Douglas County for possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, the officer had no choice but to arrest her.

These incidents highlight the legal challenges that she has faced over the years, ranging from physical altercations to drug charges and traffic violations.

Despite her success in the music industry, she has struggled to avoid encounters with law enforcement, resulting in multiple arrests and legal consequences that have undoubtedly impacted her personal and professional life.

Asian Doll once received backlash for supporting Trump

In October 2020, Doll faced significant backlash on social media after voicing her support for President Donald Trump over Democratic nominee Joe Biden in a now-deleted tweet. She wrote, “I rather trump be the president then that other dude fasho.”

When her pro-Trump tweet was reposted by the popular Instagram blog The Shade Room, Doll received widespread criticism from her fans and followers for her political stance. However, she remained defiant and refused to apologize.

Instead, Doll took to Instagram Live to defend her support for Trump. She stated, “I [expletive] with the [expletive] Trump because the [expletive] giving out a lot of money right now.”

She suggested that Trump’s economic policies benefited her and those around her who earn money through unconventional means.

She also fired back at her critics, saying, “[expletive] I’m not tryna please nobody,” and “I swear to God bro, I’m not changing who I am.” She accused both Trump and Biden of being “white supremacists” and “racist.” Still, she slammed her critics for not voting, saying, “Y’all mad, but y’all not voting.”

Despite calls for her to be “cancelled” or face consequences for her controversial political stance, Asian Doll remained steadfast, declaring, “I will never be cancelled.”

This incident highlighted Asian Doll’s outspoken nature and unwillingness to conform to societal expectations, even in the face of significant backlash from her fanbase.

The defense of her support for Trump, despite accusations of racism and white supremacy against both candidates, demonstrated her willingness to express her views unapologetically, regardless of the consequences.
