Belair’s professional wrestling career began when she somewhat spontaneously entered her information into WWE’s prospect database after her CrossFit career ended prematurely. 

Within two weeks, WWE veteran Mark Henry reached out to her after coming across her profile in the CrossFit circuit, offering her a tryout if she was willing to do the work. 

After two official tryouts with the company, Belair signed her WWE contract on April 12, 2016, and was assigned to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, for training.

She made her in-ring debut at an NXT house show that June under the ring name “Binky Blair.”Her television debut came in May 2017 on an episode of NXT, where she competed in a battle royal to determine a #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. 

She participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament later that year, making it to the second round before being eliminated. In early 2018, Belair embarked on an impressive 367-day undefeated streak, racking up wins over Lacey Evans, Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, and others.

After winning the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, BBelair earned a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 38 against then-Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. 

Their heated rivalry culminated at WrestleMania, where Belair defeated Lynch to capture the Raw Women’s Title for the first time.

Belair would go on to successfully defend the championship throughout 2022 against top stars like Asuka, Carmella, and Bayley in high-profile matches.

In October 2022, Belair reached the historic milestone of 200 days as champion, making her the longest reigning African-American World Champion in WWE history for either gender. 

She continued her dominant run into 2023, retaining the title at events like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 39 against tough competition.

Then, in May 2023 at Backlash, Belair’s reign reached the 420-day mark, officially surpassing Becky Lynch’s previous record of 398 days to become the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion of all time. 

This landmark reign made Belair the longest-reigning women’s champion of the modern era.

After having her historic 420-day reign as Raw Women’s Champion ended by Asuka at Night of Champions in May 2023, Belair regained the title at SummerSlam by defeating Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match. 

However, her second championship reign was cut extremely short at just 1 minute and 35 seconds after Iyo Sky successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to become the new champion.  

Following a two-month hiatus, Belair returned and challenged Sky for the title at Crown Jewel but was unsuccessful in regaining the championship due to interference from the returning Kairi Sane. Despite this setback, she continued her pursuit of the title.

At Survivor Series WarGames in November 2023, she teamed with Flair, Lynch, and Shotzi to take on Damage CTRL (Bayley, Sky, Sane, and Asuka) in a WarGames match. Her team emerged victorious after Lynch secured the pinfall over Bayley.
