Jacob Elordi has quickly become one of the most popular young actors in Hollywood after breakthrough roles in The Kissing Booth films and HBO’s Euphoria. With leading roles in major film and television projects, Elordi’s fame and acting caliber continue to rise.

Though only in his late 20s, Elordi’s net worth is estimated in the millions and growing thanks to lucrative deals from his acting and modeling careers. Coming off recent successes in Priscilla and the lead in Saltburn, his paychecks will likely increase substantially.

As he takes on more diverse, complex characters, Elordi’s star power combined with critical acclaim will boost his wealth higher in the coming years.

Jacob Elordi’s net worth and source of income

Currently boasting an impressive net worth of $4 million at just 25 years old, Australian actor Elordi has experienced a meteoric rise to fame and fortune over the last few years in Hollywood.

However, his path to wealth had extremely humble beginnings. In a 2022 GQ interview, he revealed that after filming the breakout hit The Kissing Booth in 2017, he moved to Los Angeles only to struggle enormously to find work.

With only $400 left in his bank account, Elordi admitted to sleeping in his Mitsubishi on Mulholland Drive at times, only for his agent to book him an audition that would change everything – the HBO series Euphoria.

Euphoria transformed Elordi into one of the hottest young talents in the industry, likely earning him a six-figure per episode salary by the acclaimed show’s second season.

Lead actors on HBO typically make anywhere from $150,000 to $1 million per episode, demonstrating just how lucrative the gig proved for Elordi.

The Kissing Booth franchise also deserves significant credit for bolstering Elordi’s wealth, with the actor reprising his role in two hugely popular Netflix sequels. Though exact salaries are undisclosed, Netflix leads for major film franchises often secure seven-figure deals.

Beyond his two star-making acting vehicles, he has also appeared in films like Deep Water and taken on the coveted role of Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s 2023 biopic Priscilla

With indie film The Sweet East generating buzz out of Cannes and preparations underway for a miniseries adaptation of The Narrow Road to the Deep North, Elordi continues ascending the A-list ranks.

In addition to lucrative acting salaries, he also earns tidy sums through selective brand partnership deals with companies like Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, and Tag Heuer.

As his global fame expands, particularly among younger audiences, his brand partnership earning potential likely exceeds the millions for simple social media promotion.

While he could undoubtedly pursue dozens more endorsement deals, Elordi has so far chosen to associate himself with just a few major brands, maintaining an air of prestige around his public image.

Jacob Elordi in the role of Elvis Presley

In 2023, Elordi took on the coveted and challenging role of Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s biographical drama film Priscilla. The film explores Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s complicated romantic relationship, with Cailee Spaeny starring as Priscilla.

In casting the iconic singer, Coppola said Elordi has “that same type of magnetism” and charisma that surrounds Elvis, noting, “he’s so charismatic, and girls go crazy around him.”

Reviews praised Elordi’s performance as a grounded, realistic portrayal of Elvis rather than an imitation.

Critics highlighted the film’s exploration of celebrity and flawed famous men, themes uniquely suited to Coppola’s filmography. Priscilla humanizes Elvis but also shows his controlling behavior and volatility, facilitated by his wealth and yes-men entourage.

The role marked a major moment in Elordi’s rapid rise to stardom after The Kissing Booth films. Euphoria established him as a leading man. Playing Elvis earned critical acclaim for the young actor and showed his range in embodying a well-known icon.

Priscilla represents a potential awards breakthrough for Elordi as he continues to book more selective, prestigious roles. At just 26 years old, taking on an iconic figure displayed Elordi’s talent and star presence, predictably raising his industry profile even higher.

Jacob Elordi criticised ‘The Kissing Booth’ films

Though The Kissing Booth trilogy provided his breakout opportunity, Elordi now looks back critically on the Netflix teen films.

In a recent interview, he called the movies “ridiculous” and “not universal,” feeling they represent an escapist experience he did not want to participate in initially. He suggests the films feel like a trap some young actors fall into – needing more originality and meaning.

He pushes back against accusations of pretentiousness for critiquing Kissing Booth, arguing caring about one’s creative output and not just money or fame should be applauded rather than seen as elitist.

Elordi believes actors have a responsibility not to waste audiences’ valuable time on projects made solely for profit motives without artistic merit.

While grateful for the platform, he expresses regret over starring in the Kissing Booth trilogy, seeing the films as lacking deeper meaning or originality. He strives to avoid work just for a paycheck, turning down roles he deems too frivolous or even excessively dark.

Having risen to fame quickly, Elordi grapples with establishing credibility as a serious actor rather than a fleeting teen heartthrob.

Jacob Elordi now has viral bath water candles in his name

A steamy bathtub scene in Saltburn featuring Elordi has sparked a viral phenomenon – candles dubbed “Jacob Elordi’s Bathwater” sold on Etsy and Amazon.

The scene shows Elordi’s character Felix having a private moment before co-star Barry Keoghan’s unsettling character proceeds to drink the leftover bathwater.

This has inspired online sellers to create candles capturing the scene’s essence, with scents evoking Elordi and names referencing his character.

Keoghan recently joked he already has 10 such candles burning in his home, showing the strange obsession has extended to Saltburn’s cast.

Director Emerald Fennell calls the scene the sexiest she’s filmed, saying it captures an impossible, vampire-like romantic fixation. She wants the film to make audiences feel something new and push boundaries.

The bathwater candles exemplify how Elordi’s star power and sex appeal have transcended the film itself, with his name becoming a commodity and viral phenomenon.

Meant to shock and provoke, the scene has gained wider notoriety through items commercializing the actor’s desirability and connection to an unsettling fictional moment.

Whether interpreted as tongue-in-cheek or alarmingly indicative of celebrity culture’s obsessions, the candles show Elordi inspiring an unanticipated response fitting Saltburn’s themes on the dark side of desire.
