Zara Larsson is a popular Swedish singer and songwriter who rose to fame in 2008 after winning the second season of Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent.

She gained international recognition with hit singles like ‘Lush Life,’ ‘Never Forget You,’ and ‘Symphony’ with Clean Bandit. Today, at age 26, she has become one of Sweden’s most successful musical exports, with certified albums and singles worldwide.

With her continually rising fame and musical success, Larsson has amassed considerable wealth even from a young age.

In this article, we take a closer look at Larsson’s background, music career highlights, and her current estimated net worth. She has already built an impressive net worth, but with her rising stardom, it may continue growing in the future.

Zara Larsson’s net worth and career beginnings

Today, Larsson has amassed an impressive net worth of $10 million at just 26 years old. However, her path to wealth and fame started over a decade ago as a talented young girl in Sweden.

In 2008, at age 10, she got her first big break by winning Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent, which kicked her music career. The 500,000 kronor prize money from the show was just the beginning.

Over the next few years, Larsson began releasing music, getting signed to record labels, and gaining recognition in Sweden and abroad. Though she did not get a record deal from her LA meetings with major labels in 2010, she continued honing her skills.

By 2013, her debut EP, Introducing, achieved great success in Scandinavia, including the #1 single ‘Uncover.’ Selling over 120,000 copies, the EP went 3x platinum in Sweden, earning teenage Larsson more money.

After signing with Epic Records in the US, she slowly gained international fame. Her 2014 debut album 1 and subsequent works brought hits like ‘Lush Life,’ ‘Never Forget You,’ and ‘Symphony.’

Now, Larsson is a wealthy global pop star but originally found fame and the beginnings of fortune as a talented Swedish girl with big dreams.

Zara Larsson is riding a continuous wave of success

Even from a very young age, Larsson was able to achieve musical success and begin amassing her wealth and fame. After winning Sweden’s Talang in 2008 at age 10, she continued working hard to build her music career.

Her 2013 debut EP bought the teenager more income and notoriety. However, she did not stop there. After signing with Epic Records in the US in 2013, her fame slowly spread worldwide.

She then released international EPs and smash pop hits like ‘Uncover,’ ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Never Forget You.’

Her first full-length studio album, 2015’s So Good, achieved top ten charts in multiple countries. By this time, she was an international superstar, and her wealth also continued growing.

In more recent years, she has continued riding her wave of fame and success. Hits like ‘Ruin My Life,’ ‘Wow,’ and ‘Talk About Love’ became global hits, while Larsson herself has been featured on tracks with other top artists like Clean Bandit, Kygo, FEDEZ, and more.

In 2021, at just 23 years old, she released her latest album, Poster Girl, to positive reviews and chart success, indicating her popularity is still on the rise. Now at 26 with an estimated net worth of $10 million, her music career shows no signs of slowing down.

From a talented kid to an international pop sensation, Larsson has continuously achieved fame and wealth since breaking out of Sweden with her musical talents.

Her career has been a persistent wave of mounting success since a very young age, and she continues riding even today.

Zara Larsson owns a record label

After 11 successful years signed to the Swedish independent label TEN Music Group, Larsson decided to take control of her career to an unprecedented new level.

In June 2022, it was announced that Larsson had acquired ownership of her entire music catalog in a “unique agreement” with TEN CEO Ola Håkansson.

Owning her masters is extremely rare for a young female artist, but Larsson’s catalog has amassed over 9 billion streams, giving her leverage to take ownership. With full control of her catalog, Larsson also launched her new record label named Sommer House.

Sommer House will license Larsson’s future music through Epic Records in the US while being distributed by Sony Music Sweden in her home country.

Though still partnered with these major players, Sommer House gives the multi-platinum pop star autonomy over her works while continuing to utilize the infrastructure of industry giants.

Larsson thanked TEN for helping launch her monumental career. Still, at just 25 years old, she now steers its future direction herself via her aptly named Sommer House label.

Other young artists often struggle for creative freedom. Still, Larsson has empowered herself by owning both her catalog and her future through this new company.

Zara Larsson’s soon-to-be-released album ‘Venus’

After establishing her record label Sommer House in 2022, Larsson is gearing up to release her fourth studio album, Venus, on February 9th, 2023.

This album marks a new era for Larsson as her first completely independent release since leaving her long-time label ten years prior.

Described as her “most dynamic and fully-realized work to date,” Venus mixes mythic and personal themes as Larsson explores modern love in its many forms – with partners, family, her craft, and herself.

She conceived the album’s vision alongside a diverse team, including renowned pop producers like Danja, MNEK, and Rick Nowels.

Recent singles like ‘Can’t Tame Her,’ ‘End of Time,’ and ‘On My Love’ with David Guetta have already previewed Larsson’s elevated new pop sound.

The 12-track Venus features more surprises like ‘You Love Who You Love,’ a cautionary anthem about toxic relationships produced by MTHR. She will support the album launch with a UK tour starting in February.

Now at the helm of her music as well as her label, Larsson’s forthcoming Venus shows her continuing to ride waves of success with new creative freedom and ownership.

The project demonstrates Larsson stepping into her goddess era as a fully self-empowered pop auteur.
